Algorithms are fed with all the data available about you on the internet until they understand, better than you do, how your opinion could be translated into decisions.
Would you trust AI to vote for you?
In collaboration with The Design Museum and the Living Systems LAB, Future Factory was a 2 day symposium and immersive experience designed and performed my MA Material Futures students. With 6 other students, our immersive ‘Future Factory’ questioned the relationship we have with AI and data and how far we would trust it to make decisions (like voting) for us through an immersive Q&A algorithm of seemingly unrelated questions that ultimately decided how you would vote in the Brexit referendum.
This was a public, experiential event attended by around 70 members of the public.
